What is custom-photography and why is it more expensive?
"Custom" is really the key word. Custom photography consists on photographing a session that is based on your personality, body language, etc., rather than doing the cookie-cutter poses. When you book your session with us, we become your personal photographers and will spend the time required with you to get photographs you'll be proud of. Typically, our sessions can take from 30 minutes to 2.5 hours depending on the session.
We do not book back-to-back sessions; therefore, we can take our time and concentrate on you and only you.
After your session, your photos are touched-up invidually and posted on a private online gallery available for 7 days. From there, you can either choose to buy the disc, get some fine-art enlargements, or an album. Inquire today about our various Collections.

How do we start the booking process?
Call or email us to discuss the session and what you are looking for. We will also be able to chat about what to expect on the day of your session, what to bring, and what to wear.
The full sitting fee and the signature of a photo-agreement are required to book your session. Contact us today to receive it via email.
How far ahead do you take bookings?
Really: the sooner the better.
For example, if you wish to book a maternity session - usually photographed in your 8th month pregnancy - it is best to book before reaching your 8th month. If you wish to book a newborn session (done within 10 days of the birth of your child) together with a maternity session, you are best to book them together at once when booking your maternity session.
What if we need to reschedule the session?
If, for any reason, you need to reschedule your session, please give us as much notice as possible. Your sitting fee can be rescheduled once and within one week of the original booked session.
If you need to cancel your session altogether, your sitting fee is only refundable if the session was cancelled minimum 30 days prior to your scheduled session. Your session's fee is non-refundable otherwise.
Do we travel?
We sure do! Our traveling charges are based on distance. Please contact us for more info.
Do we have a studio?
Our studio is conveniently located at our home. All studio sessions are done by appointment only. Call today to book yours!
In-studio Vs. outdoors family photos?
If your children can sit or walk on their own, and if the weather is nice, consider the outdoors locations over a studio session.
We strive to capture natural-looking images even when outdoors... it is ok if we have to chase your children around to get the shot... We are quite used to it now...
Exception is made during the winter months when an indoor studio is needed. Your best option is to call us to discuss your preference and see what would be best for your family photos.
What are the digital files?
They are the photos from your session saved on disc.
We offer 2 kinds of digital files:
A digital file saved on disc and sized for 4x6 prints;
A digital file saved on disc at full high resolution.
Both are available at a separate cost. Inquire today.
For all your fine-art enlargements or smaller prints, We use a professional lab.
If you prefer to go ahead with your own printing, please note that we cannot vouch for the quality nor will we be held responsible if any problems arise between you and your chosen lab. |
